Alumni of the Porolissum Forum Project will reunite in Romania, July 18-August 2, 2015. Transylvania Alive is coordinating the reunion with PFP Alum, Annie Leigh, the catalyst of the two-week event. PFP team members will meet in Cluj and embark on a week-long excursion to cities and sites in northeastern Transylvania and the Romanian territory of Moldavia, followed by a week in Zalau and participation in the Agrij Valley Survey. While small groups of PFP alumni have met during the meetings of the Archaeological Institute of America, many former students voiced an interest in visiting Romania again. Annie Leigh, who after graduating from Monmouth College, has lived/worked in India and South Korea, has generated considerable interest in the reunion.
Between 2004 and 2011, the PFP hosted more than 80 field school students from Romania, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK. We are looking forward to spending time with good friends.
