Database of American Academy in Rome's Museum Collection

The American Academy in Rome houses a collection of several thousand artifacts acquired in the 19th and early 20th centuries. A complete study of the objects by more than two dozen scholars between the mid 1980's and the 2000's was conducted under the auspices of Helen Nagy, Larissa Bonfante, and Jacqueline Collins. The catalogue entries and images were compiled into an online database by Eric De Sena between 2000 and 2008 with some later elaboratations by students and scholars.
